Terms of use and subscriptions

Using the game

You may use the app for personal play and learning. Do not misuse the service, interfere with other users' access or redistribute protected app artwork and materials without permission. The app provides its own documented Western Mahjong rules profile; it is not a gambling service and provides no real-money prizes.

Free play and Plus

The free collection includes Ordinary Mahjong, Gertie’s Garter, Wriggly Snake and Greta’s Garden, starter learning material and one daily challenge. Where offered, Mahjong Maestro: Western Plus is an optional monthly auto-renewing subscription unlocking all 67 supported special hands, collection-wide guides and three daily challenges. Test builds may explicitly provide temporary access without payment.

Price, renewal and cancellation

The price and currency shown in the app and the store confirmation sheet apply to your purchase. A monthly subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. Eligible new subscribers can start with a 7-day free trial, where offered by their store. The app and store confirmation show eligibility and the monthly price that follows the trial. The subscription automatically renews at that price unless cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a charge. A parent or guardian should authorize purchases made by a child.

Cancel before the next renewal through the store where you subscribed; for Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Access normally continues to the end of the paid period. Manage subscriptions in Apple account settings or Google Play. Refund requests follow the store's process and your applicable consumer rights.

Restore and account deletion

Use Restore purchases with the same store account to recover access. Where optional sign-in is available, it links subscription access across supported devices. Saved games and practice history stay on each device. Signing out clears linked access on that device; Restore purchases can recover purchases on its store account.

An existing saved deal can finish under its original rules after access expires, but paid hand references and new premium deals require current access. Deleting an account does not cancel store billing. You can request deletion without cancelling first.

Licence and consumer rights

For the iOS app, the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement applies. These subscription terms supplement it. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under applicable consumer law. We may update the app and these terms; material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated as required.
